Vance Gehlbach
General Manager, National Records Management
My name is Vance Gehlbach, Co-founder and General Manager of National Records Management of Des Moines, Iowa. I have over 16 years experience in the offsite record storage business.
I firmly believe in growing business and developing relationships through active involvement in professional associations. I have been active in the Data Processing Management Association, which is now known as the Association of Information Technology Professionals. I have served on the Board of Directors for a total of seven years and held numerous offices, including Regional Liaison of the Des Moines Chapter. One accomplishment of which I am very proud is that I have been fortunate to hold the office of President two times, which only two others have done in the 45 year history of the Chapter. It is rare that a vendor ever holds this position. I am also very active in the Association of Records Managers and Administrators Central Iowa Chapter, having held many offices on the Board of Directors, including President. I continue to be instrumental in the focus and growth of this association. Previously I served on the Advisory Board to the American Institute of Business College in Des Moines. Currently, I hold the office of Chairman of the Iowa Contingency Planners and have been serving on their board of directors for the past two years.
National Records Management's business has grown through relationships developed by providing customers with "First Class Service" with a "No Excuse" policy. My philosophy is that if you make a mistake, apologize and fix it now! Above all, never blame someone else or make an excuse. Simply fix the problem and continue providing the best service possible.
